The days may be turning darker and colder, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream of sunnier times!
This week’s moodboard revisits my love of the great outdoors-specifically beaches. I love being by the coast and there are so many ways you can interpret a beach wedding. This time I am embracing the blues of the ocean for a clean, fresh and romantic feel.
So read on for some tips on how you can have an ocean dreams wedding.
Colour scheme
We are channelling the fresh vibes of the ocean with this theme, so blue is the start of the show. Go super soft with a pallet of pale almost pastel blues.
Compliment these with a crisp, clean white and, of course, some earthy, sandy tones.
Wedding clothes
For a beach wedding, we want something light and easy to move in, but that doesn’t mean we cant have some interest. A beaded or lace dress will add some texture that will mirror the textures of the beach.
Grooms can opt for a pale suit in light grey with a blue waistcoat to match the theme.
Wedding flowers
Keep things simple and striking with this theme. Opt for a bouquet made of one type of flower-lilies would look stunning. Have them tied with a crisp, white ribbon.
For the tables, use white and green flowers. Think big, bold and structural.
Wedding decor
Blankets, cushions, throws, table runners. Keep everything in your pale blue colour scheme. Have a nod towards your beach setting and scatter around some shells or beach rocks.
Wedding cake
A classic 2 or 3 layered cake in an ombre colour scheme of blue and white will mirror the ocean setting.
If you love this theme as much as I do then head over to the Muddy Weddings Instagram page. I would love to see your interpretation of this theme.
