The atmosphere, the guest experience, the setting, the design, the flow of the day, all of it matters deeply. But behind every relaxed, beautiful outdoor wedding is an enormous amount of logistical planning, operational structure, and behind-the-scenes coordination making it possible.

Our role is to hold both sides together from the beginning.

How We Work

Muddy Weddings combines creative planning with practical logistical expertise.

Tracyann leads the planning, design direction, supplier coordination, guest experience, and overall creative vision for each wedding. Her role is to ensure the day feels cohesive, considered, and completely personal to you and your setting.

Philip brings a background in logistics and operational planning, with a focus on the practical realities of outdoor events: infrastructure, site setup, access, build schedules, supplier logistics, and the physical delivery of the space itself.

Together, we approach every wedding from both a creative and operational perspective from the start.

This means decisions are not made purely because they look good on paper. They are made because they work in the environment, support the experience you want to create, and can realistically be delivered properly on the day.

We take a calm, direct, and practical approach to planning.

That means:

• solving problems early rather than reacting late

• building realistic plans suppliers can actually deliver 

• thinking carefully about infrastructure, access, timing, and contingency plans

• and making sure nothing important is left assumed

The result is a wedding that feels effortless for you and your guests — because everything underneath it has been properly thought through.

Who we are not a good fit for

We are not a traditional venue wedding planning company.

If you are:

• planning to get married in a venue with an ‘all-inclusive’ package 

• planning a predominately indoor wedding

• marrying in a traditional destination location 

then there are likely better fits for you elsewhere.

And that is completely fine.

What matters most is that you want something personal, immersive, and grounded in the environment around you without compromising on the experience itself.

Outdoor weddings require creativity, flexibility, and vision.

But they also require structure, planning, and the ability to make complex environments work under pressure.

That balance is at the heart of everything we do.
